The Association of Traveling Musicians, founded by cellists Astrig Siranossian and Kian Soltani, and accordeonist Felicien Brut aims to advocate for policies that facilitate easier travel for musicians with their instruments.
Our mission is to address the unique challenges musicians face when traveling, ensuring that their instruments are recognized as essential artistic tools rather than ordinary baggage.
• Lobby for changes in airline, trains, bus, regulations to prioritize musician’s needs.
• Partner with music organizations to raise awareness and support for traveling musicians.
To facilitate the management of logistical aspects related to the professional travel of musicians, regardless of the means of transportation used (plane, train, boat, bus, etc.).
The association’s mission focuses on several key areas:
• Dialogue with transport companies to simplify the transport of non-standard musical instruments.
• Raising awareness among transport stakeholders about the specific challenges of carrying musical instruments.
• Studying and understanding the professional needs of musicians on tour, in concert, or in residency.
• Preventing incidents related to transport and promoting practices that respect and protect artistic equipment.
Join us in harmonizing efforts to create a world where every musician can travel freely and confidently with their instruments!
