My story — how Traveling Musicians began
I founded Traveling Musicians after an experience that far too many musicians know too well. One day, even though I had bought my ticket completely according to the rules, I was almost denied boarding because of my cello. After long and stressful negotiations — which should never have taken place — I realized how fragile and unpredictable it still is to travel as a musician.
These difficulties are not isolated. They’re part of everyday conversations among friends and colleagues such as Kian Soltani and Félicien Brut. Together, we decided that things had to change — that musicians needed a collective voice to advocate for fairer rules and simpler travel conditions.
That’s how Traveling Musicians was born: from a simple but powerful belief — music should be free to travel, just like the musicians who bring it to life.
